At the BILDES 2010 festival, STandART and Goran Gora performed the songs “Rudens Vēstis” (Autumn News) and “Tādi Zvēri Kā Mēs” (Animals of Our Kind). This co-project was exciting experience for the band both visually and sonically. Photos by Kristaps Kalns HERE.

As a part of the co-projects concert of the annual “Bildes” festival, STandART will perform a couple of songs together with Goran Gora tomorow, October 14, at Riga Congress House.
The concert is scheduled from 19:00 to 22:30. STandART & Goran Gora are to play at 22:00.

Support “Bez Miega Zirgi” (Gas of Latvia Mix) at Radio NABA LV Top10!
The song was recorded for the compilation “Strāvoklis” with various Latvian artists performing poems by the Latvian poet Rainis. The release of the compilation is now scheduled for Spring 2011.
Other participants of the “Strāvoklis” project include such artists as “Ēnu kaleidoskops”, “Rosewater”, “Židrūns”, Martinez Gonzalez, “Hospitāļu iela”, “Gaujarts”, “Bērnības Milicija”, Imants Deksis un TV Maskava, “Inokentijs Mārpls”, Imants Daksis, Jana Hermann, “Iļģi”, “Nepilngadīgā Anna”, “Soundarcade”, “Auļi”.
01/09/2010 New STandART single out now!
“Bez Miega Zirgi” is produced in collaboration with “Gas of Latvia” and Sandris Savickis (“Starring Two”). Its lyrics are based on a poem by Latvian poet Rainis, and the song was recorded for the compilation “Strāvoklis” with various Latvian artists performing poems by Rainis.
“Gadalaiku Cilvēki” is the Latvian version of the song “Season People” from the album “Autumn News”. The live tracks were recorded at Belly, Helsinki on February 19, 2010.
The video has been shot during STandART tour in Finland and Sweden in February 2010. The video for the song about animals and hunting features scenes with pupils dressed up as animals in Tampere, concerts with the Finnish band “…and the Ocean” in Turku and Helsinki, and scenes from KGB Bar (STandART played on Feb 27) and Tunnelgatan in Stockholm, next to which the Prime Minister of Sweden Olof Palme was shot on Feb 28, 1986.

31/08/2010 “Ēnu kaleidoskops”: album out now
STandART guitarist Mārtiņš Links’ main band “Ēnu kaleidoskops” (featuring Kalvis Kluburs on keyboards) has released its first full-time studio album “Ēnu kaleidoskops”. The album is available via all our websites, at the concerts and at “Nabaklab”, Riga.

12/07/2010 “Starring Two”
Kalvis Kluburs has joined Latvian electronic band “Starring Two” to record the vocals for their album after the original singer Edgar Kurik was forced to move away from Latvia.
10 songs have already been recorded (2 of them in Swedish), with 2 remaining to be done in the nearest time. As soon as the vocals will be completed, the mixing of the album will start, and its release is planned for this autumn. The title of the album has been set – “Portraits & Landscapes”.

STandART will play at LABADABA Open Air Festival: August 6-8, the exact date and time yet to be announced. Most likely, it will be the first chance to hear a new STandART song live.Other participants include such bands as the other band of Kalvis and Mārtiņš – “Ēnu Kaleidoskops”; “Dzelzs Vilks”, “Gas of Latvia” and many, many more.
